so far this fall...

...1 scarf, 1 hat and two pairs of mittens. All of which are already very much needed. It's chilly out there.

Do you know where I can find patterns for round knitted tablecloths? / Ulf

How big a cloth are you looking to make Ulf? There are several sources. I have never seen one of her patterns but Anna Marie Jensen published quite a number of patterns that are in reprint. Let me know a little more about what you are looking for and I'll see what I can find for you.

Actually I´m planning to knit a tablecloth with lovikka. If you aren´t familiar with the quality it´s simular to Eskimo from Garnstudio and I was planning to knit on needles 8-10 mm. I thought I could use a pattern for a round cloth but maybe just use half of pattern and stop when it was about 1-1½ meter in diameter. Yes I know a tablecloth in lovikka is quite useless but I just find it interesting as an idea. / Ulf

The "Stor rund dug" seems to be popular project.

Also in Danish;

There are a few choices on this site;

You might also try googling in Norwegian.
Or Mmario from MWK has quite a number of round shawl patterns that would also be useful as Tablecloths.

Thanks a lot Lars. I googled for Swedish patters a while ago but couldn´t find a pattern. Actualy I was quite surprised when I saw on MHK that you amreicans was knitting round tablecloths. I have never seen anyone knitting that in Sweden exept for a few very old ladies. But now that i´ve seen some I find them nice.
I will look up the pages you recommended.

Oh! You're the swedish Ulf. Sorry, I thought you were the norwegian Ulf.
This is Mmario's group,

You'll have to sign up for a yahoo account to join and look at his patterns.
Yes, there is quite history of knit and crocheted tablecloths and doilies in the U.S.
Especially doilies that were made to drape over the back and arms of chairs. They were often called antimacassars because a popular men's hair oil was macassar, so the anti-macassar was put on the back of the chair to prevent staining of the chair by the hair oil.

It´s ok Lars. Danes, norweigians and swedes understand each other, especially it it´s written.

Just one more question: I found this pattern but the needle sises are all in US size. Do you know what the needle sizes translated to the metric system mm are? Ulf
